I decided to have some fun today and look into creating my own pathfinding system using the A* (A Star) method. I am still learning Unreal so for efficiency I did it in Unity and C#. I’ve always wanted to create my own AI pathfinding system and it was surprisingly easier than I thought. To be fair I did follow on from a tutorial but I’m going to expand on it to make it better. I enjoy the feeling of when you make something like that, writing all the code and then seeing that “magic” moment that it works.
