Year of Project: 2015
This is a simple endless runner game I made to practice and improve my skills Unity 2D game development. It’s more of a prototype then a full finished game but I might someday add to it and polish it off, possibly put it on an appstore. I created all the Pixel art myself which I am quite proud of as it was my first time. The target device for this project was Mobile and Web. I wanted to create a simple “Tap” game much like the famous Flappy Bird. A friend of mine studying Sound Engineering used this game/prototype for a game sound project and uploaded it in www.itch.io.com. What I am most happy about is how well the pixel art turned out as it was my first time creating it. It was fun to make and surprisingly easy.
Target Platform: Mobile Devices, Web
Content: All 2D assets I created myself as well as all the C# scripts and game logic. I did use a couple of Unity plugins for for post effects and saving to text files.
Game Plot: You are awoken from your sleep to find that you’re in an Alien spaceship. You immediately start running to make your escape.
Aim: The aim of the game is to simply survive as long as possible. If the obstacles or enemies push you to the left side of the screen you lose. As such you must jump over the obstacles to avoid getting stuck.
Controls: A simple tap or click to jump.
