Year of Project: 2017 Global Game Jam
During the 2017 Global Game Jam (Melbourne) I teamed up with 4 other programmers Nice To Greet you. There was 2 programmers (including myself) we split the load for the coding. This was all done during the 48 hour Jam.
Role: Programmer + In charge of GUI setup
Concept: You’ve just arrived at the party, ready to host your guests. Wait, you’ve never been here before? You don’t know anyone? You’ll be fine. Probably. Nice to Greet You is an awkward dinner party memory game. Greet the incoming guests with your best catchy words, making sure you get the right greeting for the right groovy guest (use your trusty Menu to figure out which greetings works for the right accessory.) Each guest and greeting is randomly generated each play through. Get too many guests unhappy with your terrible small talk skills, and the party is over (thank god it wasn’t /your/ party, right?)
Target Platform: PC (Mac OS + Windows)
Content: All of the assets (2D and 3D) were created by the other group members. We also had some sound engineers create all the audio for us.
Aim: To greet as many guests as you can with the correct greeting.
